is there a way to save sent items in the respective sent-items folder of
different account. Of course, you can click on options before you send a
message and select a different fodler... that is a cumbersome process. I was
wondering if OL2003 can pick the sent-items folder based on the account from
which you are sending email.. i.e. sent-items folder should be an
account-level option and not a global option.

I was looking at
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/assistance/HA011510941033.aspx and it says
that all the sent items from all the accounts are saved to the same
sent-items folder

Not a perfect solution, as there will still be a copy in the Sent Items
folder, but see if this helps:
Create a Rule:
1. Start from Blank > Check messages after sending
2. Choose "through the speciifed account" (and choose the account within the
bottom options window)
3. Choose "move a copy to the specified folder" (and choose the folder in
the bottom options window)
Complete other options as needed and save (give it a quick test)

If you disable the "Save copies of messages in Sent Items" option, then
you'll have only a single copy in the folder of your choice.

If a rule is being created for every account being used by the Outlook
client, then Brian's suggestion would be the 'icing on the cake'. Thanks for
the addition Brian
