Last night we erased a CD (using Roxio) and then discovered it was the wrong
one. Does anyone know if and how that data might be recovered?

Any help is much appreciated!

Try the following:

BadCopy Pro - CD/DVD Data Recovery Software

You can try data recovery programs. Here are a few:

Easy Recovery - http://www.ontrack.com/software/
PCRecovery (free)
http://www.pcinspector.de/file_recovery/uk/welcome.htm
R-Studio - http://www.r-tt.com/

I have no idea if those programs will retrieve data from a CD. I know
that professional data recovery firms such as DriveSavers can; however
their services are not inexpensive. Only you can determine the value of
your data.

This software may be able to help you. Install the free version and see if
it can find your files. If it can you may need to buy the paid version
($29.95) to extract them. The freeware version will extract some formats, so
try it first.

Thanks to all of you for the advice. I will try some of these out and let
you know what happens.

Whether it does or not, you are an awesome bunch of folks and I, for one,
really appreciate your being here to help!! :-)
