Is there a way to insert horizontal and vertical lines to divide rows and
colomns on a worksheet without manually drawing in each line?

On the face of it:
Select the range, then click Format > Cells > Border tab (options are there)

If you meant the gridlines aren't visible, try this quick check:
Click Tools > Options > View tab > Check "Gridlines" > OK

Or if the gridlines aren't visible, perhaps you have the cell color set to
"white" which will blank out the gridlines.

Change it to "automatic" or "no fill".
