When I delete a email messaage it just draws a line through the email. I want
to be able to hit delete and that email go away. I use outlook through IMAP.
Does anyone have any suggestions? All help is greatly appreciated.

Hi there. I found this in Outlook help which clarifies your problem. Hope it
helps!

"Purge IMAP items marked for deletion
Show All
Hide All
When you mark an item on an IMAP (IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol):
Unlike Internet e-mail protocols such as POP3, IMAP creates folders on a
server to store/organize messages for retrieval by other computers. You can
read message headers only and select which messages to download.) e-mail
server for deletion, it is displayed in strikethrough text in the header
list. To permanently delete the items marked for deletion, do the following:

On the Edit menu, click Purge Deleted Messages.
Note If you do not purge deleted items periodically, you might reach and
exceed the allotted disk space on your e-mail server. If you exceed your
allotted disk space, you might not receive any new messages or you might
incur additional charges from your Internet service provider (ISP)"

Thank you for that information. We already know about the edit and purge, We
wanted to know if we could make it so that the second step would not be
needed. Once again I do want to thank you for your time. If you hear of
anything please let me know as I will let you know if I come across something
that works.
