Is there a template for a wedding cake contract?

My friend is trying to start a wedding cake company and I can't find a
template for our first contract.

I think you're very unlikely to find anything as specific as a contract *for
a wedding cake company*, but you can look through the templates listed at
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/results.aspx?qu=contract&av=TPL000
to find a more general kind of contract and then customize it for your
needs.

Not only are you unlikely to find a template that specific, as Jay
Freedman noted, but you probably wouldn't want to use it, even if you
did find it. Contracts like that (a) are really geared more toward
one type of party to the agreement than to the other, i.e., the
language really cannot be neutral even though that would be a nice way
to do it, and (b) too many provisions of contracts like that really
depend on your specific situation, your objectives, risk tolerance,
the way you want to resolve disputes, etc. If you send me a message
off list, I might be able to suggest some people for you to speak
with. (Depending on where you are located, I might even have
something that could be adapted.)
