In Word 2003 there was a letter wizard that let you set up a business or
professional letter and look up addresses for sender and reveiver in Outlook
Contacts.

We cannot scan for questions if the posters do not use a logical subject.
hardly any do!
Just looking at my screen now I see these subjects

Wordclip..................
Word 2007........................
Get last name.........................
Words gives msg................................
Built-in time.............................
i recently upgraded............................
Word 2003...................................
@ key now types..........................

Please expalin how one can scan for questions and answers, it would really
be helpful

The subject lines on the two posts in question were "Where is Letter Wizard
located in Microsoft Word, 2007?" and "Is there a letter wizard in the new
office 2007?"

If you were coming from the Office Communities at
http://www.microsoft.com/office/com...osoft.public.word.docmanagement&lang=en&cr=US,
you could type "letter wizard" in the "Search for" box. In Outlook Express,
you would have to have downloaded all the (recent) message headers, and then
you could use the Find button in OE to search for "letter wizard" in the
Subject field.

So sorry!
It does not work for me, but brings up an irrelevant question from Google
about my email address

Thanks again. I do know about the search tool in OE but given the way
members post it is often useless.

This is what fellow MVP Bob Buckland posted in the message to which Jay gave

Yes, the Wizards were dropped after Word 2003. The letter wizard does still
work in Word 2007 if you have it from a prior version,
but you'll need the Wizard and the templates for the letter styles in it
(Elegant, Contemporary and Professional) that it uses.
Basically the Wizard was dropped because the new features and letter style
in Word (Office Button=>New) are more up to date than
those from the letter Wizard.

Two of the older templates newsletter and agenda wizards are available from
http://office.microsoft.com/templates

Well, the Find tool in OE was how I found the messages in question (along
with several others), but the search in the Communities forum turned up the
same articles; the problem with that search tool is that even quoting
"letter wizard" won't make it search for that exact phrase, so the results
there (including some from as long ago as January 2005) were ones with just
"wizard," it seemed to me (or perhaps "letter" and "wizard" but not "letter
wizard").
