Something I could set up an account with, to keep my post count. For
the last few weeks, the "new posts" have not been updating, so I have
to constantly check each group to see if there are any new msgs or
replies to my posts. I give up!

Outlook Express or an equivalent is far superior to web based methods
to read, write and keep track of newsgroup posts.

I agree, but unfortunately I browse these groups when I'm at work, and
the local IT policy doesn't allow access to news servers.

I tested out the MS online reader and, while slow, seems to actually
work better. I found posts on there that aren't even on Google. Plus I
typed in my email address in my profile and it seems to be keeping the
post count.
