The way I see it. It sound like ms want to contol everything.
What Internet Service your can use.
What you do on your own computer.
What software you can use.
Wants to block open source like mozilla
Wants to stop people from going over to linux & Mac

Imagine if all web pages require I.E.
That would stop Linux, Macs, e.t.c.

Force you to buy another computer that is totally Ms controlled.

I see a day. Where I walking to a computer store. The box says
"this computer requires Internet Service from msn no other isp will
work"

This are not my views or my opinion. This
is what I get from reading those threads on that page.
I could be wrong.

Why is it scary? I can't see that it will affect me one way or the other.

If what the others are saying is true. That is scary.

I hope software Manufacture are smarter than Drm.

I thought Activation was a problem. It sounds like drm

is a bigger problem. This is my opinion and I could be wrong

Digital Rights Management is all about protecting the consumers from the
copyrighted material they buy, so that it can be sold to them over &
over again.

Consumers have no rights with DRM.

"Trustworthy Computing" is only another example of an Oxymoron!
"Produkt-Aktivierung macht frei!"

IMHO - Slashdot is typically a bad place to learn about things.
The articles posted tend to be more for supporting opinions, conspiracy
theories, or agendas than for being informational, especially when computers
and operating systems are involved.

Don't get me wrong, I visit Slashdot frequently, as they have some very
interesting articles about a wide variety of topics. I'm just advising that
you take everything you read there with a shaker of salt.
