"I never saw any response to this article previously posted.

Did it stump Suse or Novell people and community? Bruce Perens is obviously
an OSS advocate and clearly pointed what Novell Suse will face with the
upcoming GPL v.3. Looks like it backfired for Suse big time unless they
plan on forking a different Linux (definitely backfires). Don't flame
unless there is a legitimate response. If you flame, it proves the
impending implosion of Novell. ""

It appears Suse is dead meat.
This is the beginning of the end for commercial Linux.

Asstroturfer Patty LeGrange flatly wrote on behalf of micoshaft corporation:

It appears Micoshaft (l)users are on life support
as micoshaft has turned tail and runs for it
abandoning its users in favour of distributing SuSE Linux.

It had to happen.

Linux desktop is inevitably grinding away at winning
the desktop market share while 75%+ of all new projects
in major corporations are open source and Linux based.
At this rate there will be no demand for windopz
products in 5 to 10 years time.

This is what is really what made micoshaft turn tail
and run for it. Micoshaft engaging in distributing SuSE
Linux is clear sign they are signalling the abandonment
of windopz (l)users because micoshaft and Blammer
don't see themselves supporting windopz in the near future.
Its a shitty OS. They ought to know.

Ask Microsft why they pay Novell US$ 440 M the next 5 years for
knowledge and technology while they get only US$ 40 M back from
Novell/SuSE while Novell also will not take legal actions against
Microsoft for any patent violation and then come back with a serious
conclusion.

No. Looks to me that the piece of bug-riddled sh*t is dead in the water.

Yea.
It appears the fickle Linux zealots have deemed Novell/SuSe a pariah and
are abandoning it en-mass.

These people are real whacks and if you don't march to the tune, follow
what they say and sing the company line, they toss you out of the club and
turn on you like a rabid dog.

What other minority do you despise?

You need to get your facts straight:

"There's little doubt, however, that Novell bulls welcome the change.
Novell's stock has shot up 16% so far in November, including the 5% bump
it experienced Wednesday after a Securities and Exchange Commission
filing outlined the financial details of the collaboration. Microsoft
will pay $240 million upfront for SUSE Linux subscription certificates,
which can be redeemed for technical support and upgrades from Novell.
Microsoft can resell the certificates outright to corporate clients or
bundle them into broader deals with its customers. Among the other terms
of the agreement, Microsoft will spend $94 million over the next five
years to build a dedicated sales force and market complementary uses of
Linux and Windows."
