Is RIS The Tool For Me?

try looking into using a combination of norton ghost and
sysprep images. you can create an image for each type of
event, and then just copy that HD image to however many
laptops you need. as more events come up, you can create
one image, and then blast it out to as many comps as you
need. not sure about activation tho, as we have VLKs
here, and dont need to activate our windows installs.
 
The OEM licensing will be a problem. RIS needs VL media to avoid problems.

As Jeff suggested, sysprep/ghost would be a good option or perhaps a
"deep-freeze" type of application that returns to an original, predefined
state after rebooting no matter what the users do to it. An example of

From what i understand of what you say Acronis True Image
would work. It dounds like i do a similiar thing whereby i
install the OS, the software activate it all custimize to
my liking or requirements then you's acronis to create an
image which can be restored as many times as is needed. XP
Pro with Works Suite takes about 12min to restore.
