Is Outlook a typical example of pathetic ineptitude; or just an i.

The address book functions in Outlook are woefully inferior to those in
Outlook express:
1) displaying and sorting by first name - last name
2) appending a meaningless email address permanently to real names
3) not showing multiple email addresses and selecting a default
Why has this programme been let loose on the poor trusting public?

My goodness.
No one forced you to change, did they?
Feel free to continue using OE.
The address book in Outlook was never intended to function the same as OE.
Learn to use a different program or return to the one you already know how
to use. If you need help, ask for it. Include your Outlook version when you
do. There are solutions for each of your complaints.

Note - if you want help, it helps immensely if you refrain from ranting, but
instead ask actual, detailed questions, including details about your
version.

1. You can easily control the display in your address book
2. Have no idea what you mean
3. It shows multiple email addresses
