Is Office 2003 incompatible with NVIDIA geforce drivers?

On both my desktop and Tablet, I experience repeated crashes in Office
programs - with the "error reports" blaming an incompatible driver in the
NVIDIA GE-force graphics software. When I disable this, it reinstalls itself.

There isn't any incompatibility in general terms. I've been using
Office 2003 since its release, on this system with an NVIDIA GeForce
FX 5200 adapter and the drivers supplied by Windows XP (currently
version 5.6.7.3 dated 4/7/2004), with no problems.

It's possible to have a damaged or improperly installed driver,
although having the same problem on two machines seems improbable
unless they were both installed from the same damaged download. It's
more likely, though, that the "error reports" are merely guessing
(incorrectly) at the cause.
