Stressed Windows User

OS: Win XP Home

Problem:
Everytime you open Internet Explorer, Control Panel, My
Computer, My Network Places, etc... A message pops up
that says:

" is not a valid date.

It is just how I typed it, with a quotation mark at the
beginning. Then when you click Ok, the program you were
opening opens up as normal. How can I get rid of this
message??

Known Facts:
It does NOT happen in safe mode.
It is NOT a virus (Scanned with No results).
It is NOT Spyware. (Scanned and removed all sypware).

Any Ideas?

I also have begin seeing this error. It is very annoying,
If anyone has an idea how to fix, please let me know

Type regedit in Start - Run
Export this key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects
Delete this key
Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete
end all processes called explorer.exe
In File - Run type explorer

If the problem is fixed post the contents of the reg file you exported. If it's not reimport that file (dbl click it).

Start Windows in Safe Mode
Access Add/Remove Programs applet from Control Panel
Uninstall CPR
Locate the file named CPR.DLL in the system and Delete it.
Restart Windows

David, Atlast, got a copy of cpr.dll with me now. And seen some newsgroup
posts that CPR is causing the "invalid date" error.

I was getting the same message and this is what I was
told to do to get rid of it:
Go into your control panel, click on add/remove programs,
find the program called CPR and remove it. This should
solve the problem!
