Is it SAFE TO DELETE these files (ending in exe.hdmp)?

I've got 4 LARGE files (28+MB each)--- (program name).exe.hdmp--- located in C\Documents and settings\user name\local setings\Temp\WER**.tmp.dir00 . The "**" is actually a 2 digit number that differs for each file, & all four are for the same program. Can I delete some or all of these safely, & is there some sort of general rule as to which files in this Temp folder are safe to delet?
