Hello,

I work at a School in Australia, and teacher here is
wanting to put a tick box in an excel spreadsheet. The
idea is that they can then 'Tick' the box once the
students has completed a task.

Or does anyone know of another way of doing this...e.g.
the cell changes colour.

Thanks,

does it have to be a box, or would a tick itself suffice? If so, use wing
dings 2 as the font and enter shift P for a tick and shift O for a cross.

Wingdings font character code 111 or 168 gives you a box. Code 252 gives you
a tick -- check mark. Code 254 gives you a tick in a box.

Yes possible.
1) Change your font take font > Webdings
2) Press A from your key board
3) press enter
Ok!

Use the "forms" tool bar and insert the tick box. The check mark will appear
or disappear by clicking in it with the mouse. Right clicking it will allow
you to modify the text in the box or delete it
