Is it possible to connect your jumper wiers wrong to your floppy??

my floppy wont shut off. its properties are invalid nothing in drive/ yet
capacity is compleatly full/ Yet/ total Bytes are at 0??
 
ive never seen a floppy with jumper wires .... but if your meaning the
ribbon cable that plugs into the back of the floppy drive then yes you can
get it wrong, but it should tell you at boot up that its not workin
correctly error code 40 or something like that, take out the plug and put it
in the other way and see what happens

shouldnt break anything ive done it a few times by mistake

Its possible that you have the ribbon cable plugged in to the drive
upside down. If you just installed the drive double check the cable
at both ends or just flip it over and see if the problem goes away.
