Is Access what I need?

Hello

I want to set up a database that can keep track of information on honour
boards
i.e Competition, date and winner/s.

However I would like the interface to look like a PowerPoint slide to people
accessing the information on a touchscreen kiosk. I would also like to have a
search option on this so that if a person wants to search for an individual
an onscreen keyboard will appear and you can type in the name of the person.
When you hit enter a list of all the associated competitions and dates will
be listed for that individual and possibly show a photo.

Can Access do all of this or will I need to get other programs involved?

How would I find someone who can either train me to do it myself or do it
for me?

Sorry - I know what I want to do but not sure how do it!

Cheers

All of this is possible with any version of Office or Access from 97 on.
Five years ago, I built a touch screen kiosk app that output to large plasma
screens for a chain of night clubs. I built it to use Access 2000 runtimes
to run in kiosk mode on a Windows 2000 machine. Some of the clubs still used
Access 97 for data entry so I converted it back with no problems.

Thanks for the reply. Can you please tell me how I could find someone who
can help me do it?

I am unsure what sort of person I should be looking for in terms of
knowledge/qualifications. It is the basis of my business and I do not think
I could do it all by myself LOL

Thanks
