irritating explorer quirk

how can i disable the single click expansion of folders in windows explorer
folder list?

i've just upgraded to xp, had a quick look around and couldn't find an
option to fix this. normally, i'd just put up with the inconvenience to make
myself figure it out, but this is more than i can take! (ha ha, only
serious)

Look for the setting called Display Simple Folder View

view tab of folder options.

sweetness. that setting also got rid of xp's childish attempts at managing
zip files. yay!

Most interesting. Have you ever disabled this dll:
regsvr32 /u zipfldr.dll. If not are you running a third
party zip program?
