Irritating Borders default

If there is one major aggrivation, it's that the default setting for Shared Borders is ALL PAGES

If this is not changed to SELECTED page, it will overwrite the dozens of pages in a large site and is a BEAR to fix

Is there a way to change (and maintain) the defaut setting on this
 
That is the whole function of shared borders, to be shared between all pages
within a web site, so that is how it works, if you don't want a shared
border to appear, you have to disable on the specific pages. To have more
flexibility, use the FP Include Pages component instead.

I believe what he's referring to is that the apply to "all" pages is checked by default
That can cause problems if you "forget" to check "this page" when making changes.
There should be no default tick to force the user to make a selection. IMH
