I just got my new toy and find that it does not use my windows calendar.
This stems a problem. Am I to change to Outlook just so my new toy can sync
my calendar? Anyone have any advise?

Are you serious? We don't support the iPhone here.
Try Apple.

IPhone works with Apple Address book, Yahoo Address book and also with Outlook(XP and Vista) and Entourage. The latter two can both be synced for Calendar and Contacts through Itunes.

With respect to this forum..and the ops' question--- Vista's Windows Mail or Vista's Calender does not sync directly with Iphone or Itunes.

Msft seems to have done well in the support arena....that 150 billion investment(below the then market price) in Apple is now worth more than $2.1 Billion. That same investment in its own stock would be worth about $326 Million.

Msft nor Apple ever intended or marketed the IPhone Calender as compatible or designed for Vista's default Windows Mail.
You'll have to use Outlook and Itunes in Vista and XP for Calendar and Contacts sync capability.

I can't believe how rude you guys are. Many of us have apple and windows
products. Perhaps a better question would have been "How can I convert my
new windows calendar to something readable by other calendars, including the
ipone. Trust me we have apple working on this, but why does windows tell me
this is the new outlook and much better, but it can't be synched. This is a
problem for both platform manufacturers!!!

The fact remains that the iPhone is a new product, and the only
entity qualified to support it for now is Apple.

You're right there's no need for rudeness.
I don't have the iphone but from looking on google you are not alone, it
will not sync to vista calendar.

My phone software wouldn't sync to vista calendar either, I now use Outlook
2007 though so it now does.

almost NOTHING syncs to vista calendar.
