iP8500 Envelope Printing

I have a border I wish to print around the edge of a DL size envelope.
However, whilst the design shows correctly around 3 edges, around the fourth
there seems to be an unprintable area of roughly 1". Short of setting the
area to 1" all round (which makes my design look rather pathetic) is there a
way to reduce the unprintable margin on what would be the right hand side of
the envelope? Printing from PagePlus, but it happens with all DTP apps.

If you go back to the Publisher NG, you'll see several of my postings about
not using any special settings for envelopes. What I do is stay with the
default paper size for nearly everything I print and simply position the
image on the screen to match the position of the envelope in the printer.
Works every time. Same procedure applies to labels and other special size
items.
