IP config

Can someone tell me what the Win2k equivilent of the Win98 winipcfg
command is. TIA for the help.
 
Start / Run

enter in

cmd

Hit enter

At command prompt enter in

ipconfig

Hit enter

To display all parameters use

ipconfig /all

For list of ipconfig switches use

ipconfig ?

I've used this from the command prompt, but what I'm trying to
get to is being able to release and renew the IP lease (done in the
winipcfg gui), which is a very handy capability when setting up
subnets with routers (the computer tends to hold the old lease which
means you can't get to the subnet). Is there a command to renew the
IP lease in the command line with ipconfig? TIA for the help.
 
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
