There are two ways that you might work for you
While at your daughters computer access the control panel, and then access the Network Connections. once there select the Network that your daughter is using to connect wirelessly, open the properties to that connection
under the general tab... select Internet protocal, and click on propertie
deselect "obtain IP address automatically" and enter a valid available local network address that another system wouldnt be using, the other settings may not need to be changed (unless you have changed your entire network settings manually
option 2 - this is the better option as you wouldnt have to worry about any future IP conflicts over addresses, and you wouldnt need to make any changes on your daughters computer at all. If you have access to your routers settings you should be able to specify an IP address manually to your daughters MAC address (the hardware indentifier that "tells" your router that its your daughters computer)... sometimes chaning your routers settings this way can be very easy and intuitive, where as you dont need to know any special information. however, some are less user friendly. if this resolution seems viable and you are still unsure you should refer to your routers user manual.
