Invisible Data in column of table

Using Access 2007 with mdb file. I have a long integer field in which no
data appears when I bring up the table in datasheet view. When I click on a
field, I can see the data within the orange box. However, when I leave the
field, no data appears. I'm able to change and update the table.

I can use the field in a query and the correct recordset is returned,
however, the data is also invisible in the query result.

Why isn't the field showing up?

Although Access tables look very similar to spreadsheets (especially in
datasheet view), they are, after all, just "buckets o' data". You really
need to be looking into using forms to display your data.

This environment gives you much more control over the user interaction with
your data than access to the raw table.

Good luck!

Jeff, I'm not sure why you posted this reply. Here's my question....

Why isn't the field showing up?

Probably an attempt to offer an alternative.

I have no idea why it's doing that, unless the width of the field in
datasheet view has been minimized or set to zero.

Good luck
