I am half-way through a book, and suddenly Word (in Office 2000) has changed
the shape of my single and double inverted commas from the original "curled"
style to straight lines. I have set up macros via "insert - symbol" so that I
can still access the original style, but it's a it of a bore, and I'd like
the curled commas back on my keyboard. Advice would be gratefully received.

You need to ask this in a Word newsgroup. This group is for the Access
database program.

That kind of change would tend to indicate a change in the regional
settings in the control panel of Microsoft Windows (not Office) or a change
in the font.

Have you installed SP2 for Windows recently?

Sorry. This is the Microsoft Access Database newsgroup. It appears
your question is not related to that database. You are much more likely to
find someone with the answer if you post your question to a newsgroup
devoted to your subject.

Added note; a search and replace may take care of your problem.
