I get this error when attaching files in yahoo mail.

I have:

1. Contacted Yahoo. Is it my imagination, or are they the worst company IN
THE WORLD at responding

2. Reset my web settings

3. Went to the security tab and hit default

4. Made sure all of my attachments are under 10mb

5. Tried to repair IE6. searched for the inf file, right clicked, hit
install and put in the SP2 disk

Can you help. I googled this and it seems that more than a few others have
had this problem but they have tried either successfully or unsuccessfully
all of the things I did.

Thanks
Eric

By the way. can you read my post about how to change the default location of
my pictures in the registry from c to d. It lets the thumbnails show up
automatically without having to hit it each time since I have two drives. I
did it last year, but I forget where it is in the registry. I am not a pro
like most of you

Yahoo is probably run by the biggest load of w*nkers on the planet. Even
their pop3 mail server give a "no such host" message most of the time.
And Yahoo Groups either send multiple copies of messages to people or no
copies at all.
Regards Mike.

To all,

If anyone who installs YPops! is having a problem sending e-mail from
Outlook Express, here are the correct 'outgoing' settings I discovered to
correct the problem.

* Open Outlook Express > Tools > Accounts > Mail tab, double-click the Yahoo
account (s)
* Select the 'Servers' tab
* under heading 'Outgoing Mail Server', check box
'My Server requires authorization'
* Select 'Settings', Enter your Yahoo User name & Password,
check box 'Remember password', click OK
* Exit & restart both YPops! & Outlook Express

Yeah,...but so easy to just send mail thru ur homepage and Yahoo IM just
using Yahoo IM. I understand your high regards for that. And I can
certainly use my comcast, msn, or gmail thru Outlook. but I am sure you know
a lot more about this than I do. Can you help me at all?

Eric,

To each his own I guess. I personally don't like sending e-mail via web
based e-mail such as Yahoo & Hotmail. I also send my Comcast e-mail through
Outlook Express. As far as your attachment problem, it looks like you tried
all the known options. I'm not familiar with web based e-mail errors. I did
notice a utility called IEFix but know nothing about it other than it resets
and reinstalls certain aspects of Internet Explorer. Here's the location if
you want to read up on it & try it.

They finally responded. IT is not Yahoo they are right.

This attachment problem does NOT happen in Firefox or on another computer.
It is somehow the combination of Internet Explorer and My computer. I just
did a fresh format the other day. dont' know what to do. can't really do a
system restore ...a lot of programs and even one or two drivers may have
been put on since. Any ideas? Is there a way that is totally harmless to
COMPLETELY remove IE. should I do that and then reinstall. I saw a way on my
buds site, www.greyknight17 but I hear it can be risky
