anytime i try to install any new software i get an error
message that reads "invalid g:\ drive". i don't have a
g:\ drive set up for anything. the computer is not on a
buisness or private network. only a singal usb connected
to it and that is the dsl modem. so i really have no idea
what it could be.

ANY IDEAS?
PLEASE?

A little more information would be helpful, such as...

What drives do you have configured..
What Version of XP are you running...
etc etc...

A quick guess based upon what you put so far might be
that at one point you had a ram drive installed (virtual
drive, like what you get when you load a startup disk
from Windows 98)..

I would just go into your registry (If you're
comfortable) and do a search for any entry that
referrences "G:\"

Good Luck
