Does any one out there in computer land know how to stop Microsoft Messenger
from taking over when trying to email a reply from a web site.
My particular Internet Provider will not cooperate in any way with Messenger
and cuts off any email from messenger when messenger tries to contact them to
forward on the email.
This is a real problem and any help would be much apperciated.

What does the email application say in Internet Explorer - Tools - Internet
Options - Programs ?

You may need to set this to another email client.

Biddie,

First off, maybe I am not understanding you correctly.

Which Messenger? There is a Windows Messenger and an MSN Messenger.
Also which version are you using?

Windows Messenger does not forward mail to any provider. Windows
Messenger simply starts your email client IF you have the right plug-in to
enable this feature.

What is your email client? Outlook? Outlook Express? Hotmail?
Something else?

Hi Jim sorry to take so long to return to you having a few problems but
Outlook express is what keeps taking over when trying to reply or fill out a
form to say enquire re price to be expected on an antique - immediately you
press send it goes to Outlook Express and my server TPG will not recognize
any other.

Choices in tools are only 4 and you cannot seem to add another.

Operating system is Microsoft Professional even though it is a home computer.
