Internet problem

I am having problems connecting to the internet..It started yesterday and I
have no idea why as I didn't do anything different to the pc.
I do share a connection with another pc and that one is not having any
problems.

I can get my email on this pc with no problems, it's just connecting to the
internet.

When I first click on the internet button nothing loads, there will be no
web name in the address bar or anything. If I click stop and then refresh the
page will load, or if I type in the web addy it will load.
Some times I have to click twice on a link for the page to load and even
after doing that sometimes I will get a Accona search page saying the page
can not be found.

I have unhooked all the interent cables and put them back, I have made
another internet connection, I have done a system restore and I still have
this problem.

Can someone plase help me?

Funny lil booger, Try this, Tools, internet options, delete cookies, and
delete files. I had the same thing last week. That is what I did

Deb,

How do you share the connection with the other computer?

When did you install Accona search? Is it also installed on the other computer?

Start by checking for malware. Read this article:

I share my connection with th eother pc through a router and the Acoona
search downloaded when I downloaded a desktop theme , but I did delete the
search program from my pc through the add/delete program but I still have a
Acoona folder under my program files that won't delete from the system

Deb,

From what I've read, nobody currently considers Acoona to actually be spyware,
but that doesn't mean you don't have spyware. Your symptoms do NOT deny the
possibility. And if you downloaded Acoona with the desktop theme, there's
always the possibility that you downloaded yet something else that you haven't
discovered yet. Be safe then sorry, do a spyware check.
