internet not responding

Another problem I have is I get an error message "Mozilla Firefox is not
responding." Doesn't matter if it is Internet Explorer, it did the same thing.
Then it gives me a list of things to check, "close the program" "check for
solution (which never helps.) I close the program and then start over.
Any suggestions?

Your internet provider may be having problems, in which case you often
can't do anything on your computer to help except to wait for them to fix
it.

Well I talked with them and they said they were not having any problems. This has been happening for about 4 months now.

Are you trying to connect via IE?

Have you tried to connect using Firefox?

Yes, I have tried connecting with IE and Firefox, they both will say
"Internet Explorer or Firefox is not responding." Then it closes.

So its kind of doing a loop?

Have you done a virus scan?

Yes, looks like a loop. I have run my virus scan, my spyware scan, nothing
helps.
Del computer went on line with me about a month ago and thought they had it
fixed and it may have slowed the problem down but nothing is fixed. He said
it had something to do with a startup problem or something like that.
Obviously, they didn't know what to do, still have the problem.

Much as we'd like to help, this is not the right forum for discussing
Internet access problems.
