The red X indicates that the graphic being called for is not
where the code for the particular web site says it is. It
means the author of the web site you are visiting has a
problem, not you. The link referenced in the post above
will give you lots of detail on it.
Obviously, if the web site author has screwed up his code
or forgotten to put the pics where he linked, you (nor
anyone else) will not be able to see the grapic.

when I go to some websites, i don't get the graphic that
goes with the page. I will get the box, which is empty, and
a red (x) in the top left hand corner. What causes this and
how can I be sure to see all graphics?
