Internet Gateway showing as Diconnected (UPnP) but I'm connected to the net!??

I have 6 computers all connected to a switch which is connected to a router.
All computers have UPnP enabled and IGD is shown in My Network Places. When
I go to Network Connections all the computers (except this one) show that
the Internet Connection is connected the through the Internet Gateway except
the computer I am writing this on now which shows it is as being
disconnected. When I select 'Connect' I get a message 'connection failed'.
This computer is, however, connected to the internet. the only difference
with this computer is that I have a bridge since I have a SoundBlaster
Audigy card with a 1394 connection. However, in the Network Bridge option, I
have only the NIC selected and not the 1394 as to the device that connects
to other computers on the network (changing this does not make a
difference).

Can anybody tell me a solution to get the Internet Gateway showing as
connected?

It may sound trivial but I'm sure that's the reason why I can't connect to
some multiplayer games which my friends are hosting because the UPnP is
unable to be 'activated'. The other computers on the network have no
problems connecting to the multiplayer games.

Best wishes,

Darren Sugden

P.S. I have 'Internet Gateway Device Discovery and Control Client' and
'Universal Plug and Play' installed.

You could delete the bridge (don't sound like you are using it anyway) and
see if that helps.

Also firewall software can interfere with the IG.
