Hi Pglum,

If I were you I would first, restart the computer. Then, if that doesn't
work, try downloading and installing it again. You want to download IE 7 Beta
3. That is their latest version.
 
Yes, thank-you. I did try restarting and I did uninstll and install. I
restored an earlier boot to see if that would work. I am also attempting to
make sure there are no blocks on it, but not successful. I am doing this for
a friend so I am not so comfortable about installing a beta version, but this
may be the only option. Thanks again.

My Internet Explorer will not open. Is there an easy solution to this?

Put your XP CD in the drive.

Go to Start/Run and enter the following

rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132
%windir%\inf\ie.inf

(Note the above is all one line...It may word wrap when it posts
If it does...the spot where it breaks will be a space)

This should re-install IE.
