Depending on the icon you use you may be able to right click on the icon and
select properties. In the RUN box change it from Minimized to Maximized (if
you use an icon in the quick launch toolbar you may see this).

If you use a "real" IE icon you can open IE, maximize it, the click on
File>Close. The next time it opens it should remember the window position.

IE opening behaviour depends on where the icon is located - Desktop
shortcut (WindowsXP created or manually created), Quicklaunch Taskbar
or Start menu (inl. Windows Update option in Start Menu)

Open IE from one of these locations - use the maximise button in the
top right hand corner. Close IE and re-open it.

If it maximises, then it will stay that way with that icon, other
similar icons

However, that may not work with other icons located elsewhere.

If you open IE from, say Start Menu -> Windows Update, it may not
maximise again.

This time, click-and-drag the sides and top and bottom to the limits
of your screen/desktop, close IE, reopen IE and it will open the last
size (i.e. clicked-and-dragged to you screen size)

Both these (only need to do once, on each example) will then solve all
other instances of maximised opening of IE.

Here is a quick FIX.

Maximize the Internet Explorer.

Hold CTRL key & Click Twice on the "X" -> (Close).

after that when ever u open IE, it will be at Max.
