internet explorer won't launch

hi, when i try to go on line by opening internet explorer
it doesn't do anything. it used to launch me to the
internet via modem connection with xp home, now i just
have to go online with msn explorer. i have selected the
option for internet explorer to check if it is the
default browser and that didn't fix it. also i noticed
that the 2 other users of the pc their internet explorer
launches w/o problem just my internet explorer program
won't launch.

My daughter had the same problem and it turned out she had the "sasser worm". See "internet explorer's main page" for information regarding checking & removing it if you have it. Good luck
 
thanks, i ran the sasser removal tool but it didn't find
the worm. any other thoughts?

I'm experiencing the same problem, and I tried ad-aware, spybot... but I still can't launch IE anymore. Is it possible to re-install IE? or to reset it to a decent configuration?
