internet explorer upgrade

when i try to download internet explorer 6.0 i get the
following message Plugin Error "the plugin did not
initialze". how do i correct this????
 
Find the complete download of internet explorer on
microsofts website, and download it. Uninstall your
previous version of internet explorer. Install the new
version.
