internet explorer starts in offline mode

My internet explorer version 6 with all critical updates choecks work
offline in the file menu and will not initiate a dialupconnection when i
double click to log on to the internet . Has anyone heard of this?

uninstall google toolbar.

Hi Dan,

Go to Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections tab
and tick 'Always dial the default connection.'
