Internet Explorer shuts down sometimes

Hi,

Anyone knows why my internet explorer sometimes decides to shut down when I
click on a link? This didn't happen before. I have windows xp installed.
Before it never happened, now when I click on a link it decides sometimes to
literally close the internet explorer window.
Any ideas why this may happen and what the solution can be?
