Internet Explorer script errors

Every time I try to put a check mark in Mcafee's Virus
Scan to set a scheduled weekly scan, I get a script
error. "An error has occurred in the script on this
page. Error: the data area passed to a system call is
too small". When I do put a date in and hit the "apply"
button or "ok" button, I get the same script error. If I
close the screen and come back to it, the box is again
unchecked. I don't have to be online for this to
happen. Mcafee had me empty temporary internet files,
configure security settings and cookie settings. Their
support wasn't very helpful. I uninstalled/reinstalled
Virus Scan Online. I made sure that "disable script
debugging" was checked in Internet Options. I have XP.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
 
Also, the only things that I added were the Blaster worm
patch and a few Windows Updates. Thanks.
