Internet Explorer Promlems

I am constantly getting an error message that says:

"Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to
close"

If you have seen this, then you know what the rest says,
and that the browser closes after you send a "report" to
Microsoft.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening?

Can anyone help?

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each needs to be updated with the program's update function
before every use, even when just downloaded. There's also a lot more to do
