I recently did a clean install of Windows XP, followed
by the installation of Service Pack 2 (from the Microsoft
CD), then downloaded all critical updates from the
Windows Update website.
I immediately had a problem with Internet Explorer
displaying certain web pages correctly (I am using a high-
speed cable internet connection). When I access certain
Hotmail accounts, for example, I receive an error message
on the taskbar that says, "Done, but with errors on
page". This does not happen all the time, but when it
does, I cannot open any e-mails. I do NOT have a problem
when using the Mozilla Firefox Browser - it only happens
with Internet Explorer. I changed a few Internet
Options / Security Level Settings in all four internet
zones in an attempt to resolve the issue, but this did
not correct the problem.
My question: What could be causing the Internet
Explorer problem - and is there a way to reset the
internet security levels back to the SP2 default settings?
Thank you all for your assistance!
