I have a vaio-windows xp system, and recently my internet explorer won't
connect. I have a wireless network, using a d-link adaptor. I have two
other internet suppliers which connect just fine, but I have certain software
that requires internet explorer to run and download files. I've gone thru
the trobleshooting and still no connection. during a network diagnostics
test, the outboundmailserver=smtp failed.
the error read, ping request could not find smtp. please check the name and
try again. I don't know what that means? Also, when I access internet
options, connections, It shows a broadband coonection, and under its
properties it has a PPPoE in networking. the d-link is not an option. Could
this be the problem? Any help would be apperciated.

In internet options, i checked my security configuration and found one of
the scripts wasn't enabled. and that was it. Internet Explorer works just
fine. Hope this helps someone Thanks
