My roommates computer got the W32.Alcra.B virus from somewhere... I installed
Norton on it and it got rid of the Virus... now Internet Explorer is nowhere
to be found on his computer... also when i use WINDOWS explorer the address
bar to show where the folder is does not show up... nor is there an option to
view the address barbecause it is grayed out... can anyone help get IE
back?... and the address bar in the other windows??

I would suggest doing a search on Google for powerIE.msi wich will allow you
to reinstall internet explorer.

First try IEFix - General purpose fix for Internet Explorer
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/IEFIX.htm

Failing that...
Start, Run: Type in the box: (Better yet, Copy & paste to eliminate errors)
rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 %windir%\Inf\ie.inf
