hi,

this is a problem that just started showing up today. it seems as if
all of my HTTP traffic is being redirected to go through
www.dnscaching.net for some reason. I firs tnoticed this problem when
my auto-search feature ( which is set to go to google ) started going
to www.dnscaching.net and then oneo MSN search.

can someone please help ?? I ran spyware detection programs, but
nothign seems to be helping. i cant even figure out what has been
changed on my system that is making this happen...

whe i block the router's internet connection, i am seeing error
messages to the tune of

http://www.dnscaching.new/error?http://www.msnbc.com

which means that all my web traffic is somehow going through that web
site for some reason...

all my other internet software seems to be working (like AIM and MSN
etc.)

my other computer seems to be working fine when i use the auto search
feature...so it's go tot be a problem with some software??

if someone has any idea of what i can do to fix this proble, please
help!
thanks in advance!

I had exactly the same problem. I reinstalled IE, did a windows fix,
ran Spybot S&D and ran Spysweeper. None of this fixed the problem. To
cut a long story short, go to download.com and get hijackthis.exe .
Don't let the name put you off. this DOES fix the problem. Run it, and
select to fix everything. Job done. Its a dodgy DLL that has been
downloaded via a peice of media playing software.

Sanj.
