i have 4 BHO's listed by a well known [bazooka] spyware scanner
i discovered these initially when i found that IEXP wont load web
pages...it is not the default browser and i get along nicely without
it..... hoewver it does have some uses........i unloaded the first
BHO, incredifind, manually by deleting the registry keys, files and
folders but to no avail....b4 i go through the painful exercise of
manaully getting rid of the other 3 does any body know a short cut
method of ditching these revolting little nasties???
thanks

BTW when i try and load www.google.com the adress thrown up after i
hit go is: http:///? www.google.com
perhaps that might give a clue as to what i need to do.

interestingly my other two browsers, netscape and firefox work
fine...the reason i use IEXP is to test html content i build here and
for FTP and http downloads.
thanks again

Raymond,

Repair URL prefix using the fix [from MVP Mike Burgess]
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
RepairDefaultPrefix.reg [right-click and select: Save As]

For disabling other BHOs, you may try ToolbarCop:

Download and run BHODEMON. The download is in ZIP file format. Extract the
files to a folder, then double
click the file BHODemon.exe. You will see all the BHOs. Select one, and
click the Details button. A window will open with the option to Disable
that BHO. At the moment, the only BHOs that I have enabled are Flash, and
Ad-Shield. If you're not quite sure which BHO might be related, disable the
one's you're unsure of, one at a time (rebooting after disabling each one),
until you find the culprit. Then re-enable the ones that didn't
cause the problems.

You've got spyware, adware, a trojan or a home page hijacker.

Run these tools weekly
spybot -- http://www.safer-networking.org/
ad-aware -- http://www.lavasoftusa.com/
HiJackThis - http://mjc1.com/mirror/hjt/

I never had a problem with it. Try spybot instead.
