Internet Explorer (IE) Closes on Some Links

IE keeps closing on me when I attempt to access some links, or it displays an
error msg that states "An error has occurred in IE. IE will now close."
When I click OK, another window comes up that states "The instruction at
0x0610fd54 referenced memory at 0x02341ed6 (or some other sequence of numbers
and letters). The memory could not be read."

Can anyone offer some advice/explanation as to why this occurrs, and how I
can eliminate the issue? It only does this on some sites, no all of them.

Download them on another computer, copy to CD or floppy if they fit and
move to your machine.
