hi, is there a simple way of setting a home page so that no one else
can change it easily?

Adaware SE (freeware from Lavasoft) includes a little utility that will
do that and provide additionly protection as well.

Several free antimalware programs can do this for you. Spybot Search &
Destroy has an "Immunize" feature for instance.

Depends on what you mean by "no one else" - if you are referring to home
page hijacker type programs, any of the tools that others referred to would
work. The free MS Antispy will also alert you if something tries to change
your homepage and can block it.

If you are referring to another person sitting at the keyboard while you are
logged on, the answer is that there is no easy way to prevent them from
changing it.
