Internet Explorer Hanging

Hi...I have IE 6.0 and lately it hangs up when in a window. I can go from
site to site, but when I go to close any window it hangs up and won't close.
I either do the cntrl-alt-del deal or wait and I get the non responding
message and when I click on END NOW, it shuts the whole IE program down. Any
suggestions??

Well first off this may help. Clean out your temp files and history. Go to
Tools Internet Options and delete the temporary internet files and all
offline content. Click OK and then do the same for the History. Close IE
and relaunch.

Hi I have same prob, also "I E has encountered a problem and needs to close".
My computer is also running very slow and stuttery.I've defraged and run AVG
virus detector and spyware software every day as all advice points to
spyware, but it comes up that my computer is running normally. It's so
frustrating. It is not just IE. It freezes and hangs on loads of programs.
Can anybody help or give me a link for a fix P L E A S E
