Internet explorer freezing problem

I am running XP home version and ocassionally Internet Explorer 6.0
will freeze on startup. When I close it, I get a message that the
problem is not responding. Interstingly if I shut it down then run
Netscape the problem will go away. This will also happen randomly when
I click on a linl in outlook express. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Check for spyware by running tools such as Spybot Search & Destroy
and/or Ad-aware from Lavasoft. Google for the urls.
