Internet Explorer Favorites Reorganizing Themselves

My Internet Explorer favorites are occasionally reorganizing themselves, and
I don't think I'm doing anything to cause it.

I'm fed up with putting them back in the order I want them in.

Does anyone have any idea why this may be happening?
Does this ever happen to you?
Is there a way to lock the favorites so they will stay where I put them?

The favorites will reorganize alphabetically.
Reorganize them numerically. Place a number in front of each (folder
structure or file)
